First a note on the title, "Spaera Incedii" - translates from the Latin as orb of fire/destruction/ruin. Done in Bryce 4, with a little fiddling of colour afterwards in psp. Took over a day to render (I'm really surprised my computer managed to last that long without crashing) though the time wasn't helped my me having to prompt it to keep going every half hour. I actually finished this model months ago, but my computer hasn't been stable enough to try rendering it. This attempt actually took two tries due to a crash just before the end of my first which resulted in a string of muttered profanities.
This is actually my first interior scene I've ever done. I don't really get the time to do much, though I possibly will have some over the summer. I'm fairly happy with it, but was limited in the end in putting in detail as the file started to get big and my computer started to crash at the sight of it (very temperamental).
Thanks for all your clicks and comments, they're most appreciated (if I get any that is).
By the by, if anyone knows anything about what makes the render time so slow I'm all ears. Does it depend on my graphics memory? Also anyone have any recommendations about other programs similar to Bryce I might like to try? I'd be welcome for any comments.
Wow! This is nice! I'm taking 3D Lightwave class right now. Which 3D program are u using?
I just took it last year, so I'm still a beginner.. so I cannot criticize once I know more about 3d lol.
That was Bryce 4.0 - which I picked up free aaaages ago. I'd still call myself a beginner as well, and class?? :S If only, art and class don't go together for me too many other things seem to fill up my time.
